Literacy Volunteers of Greater New Haven - Meriden/Wallingford Office
Our mission is to empower adults through literacy. We envision a community where 100% adult literacy is expected and achieved; and adults have the skills to attain good-paying jobs and help their children succeed in school. To this end, we train and support volunteer tutors who may teach speakers of other languages to speak, understand, read, and write American English; or help fluent and native English speakers with reading and writing. We also offer math tutoring. All classes are free.
